Learn MoreWith the lack of access to hair salons, and appointments with our favourite stylists, I think it is safe to say our hair, as a nation, has seen better days. I am more than happy to do whatever needs be, but my hair on the other hand is lashing out in all sorts of directions.
From colour fade to split ends, this lockdown is wreaking havoc on our hair, so I have put together a collection of my favourite hair masks to help your tresses through this difficult time. Maybe you might even put a little time aside for yourself to enjoy the ritual of a luxurious shower or bath and help your mane back to its former glory.

For a lightweight hydrator Joico Hydra Splash Hydrating Gelee Mask is a great option. If you have fine hair and worry about it going limp if you use a mask this is ideal, it rehydrates your hair but does not weight it down, due to its gel-like nature. The ultra-lightweight formula will encourage manageability and shine without compromising your root-lift and volume.

Given how long it has been since we could visit a salon, colour fade has become a real issue. Boost your colour with a tinted mask, Moroccanoil Colour Depositing Masks. From fun colours like teal and pink, to natural tones like Cocoa and Champagne, Moroccanoil have got you covered.

You can also lock that colour In with L’Oreal Vitamino Color Mask which locks colour in, protects it, and repairs dryness and damage sometimes caused by colouring.
Are you a city dweller? Shu Uemura Urban Moisture Masque will recondition your tresses and protect your hair from environmental aggressors, prolonging your colour and giving mirrorlike shine.
Or are you short on time? ELEVEN Australia 3 Minute Rinse Out Repair Mask has got you covered, just 3 minutes will see your hair repaired, rehydrated, and restrengthened. It is also vegan friendly and sits at a great price point.

The final treatment I want to highlight is Olaplex No.3, it is a cult favourite, and rightly so. Rebuilding your hair from the inside out, Olaplex is easy to use, just apply it to dampened, unwashed hair for a minimum of 10 minutes (I wear mine in overnight, but ONLY with this mask), follow by shampooing and conditioning as normal.
So, give your hair some TLC and save yourself and your stylist from a hair nightmare when the salons reopen.
