Vitamin E

Who needs vitamin sea when you have Vitamin E? Boasting anti-inflammatory properties, the glorious Vitamin E is a naturally occurring antioxidant that aims to protect, strengthen and of course, moisturise the skin. By strengthening the skin’s barrier, Vitamin E helps the skin to retain moisture, keeping it hydrated for longer, meaning your tan will last longer! Bondi Sands Self-Tanning Foam

The perfect lightweight self-tanning product for the glow-getters looking for a rich, flawless tan. The foam is available in both light/medium, dark and ultra-dark for those with olive skin tones and darker complexions.

Step 1

The first and most important step to guaranteeing beautiful, streak-free caramelised skin, is excellent skin prep as healthy skin is the secret to an even tan. Dry skin on the other hand, absorbs excess tan, leading to a patchy finish. Therefore, it is important to make sure you keep your skin hydrated and smooth. 3-5 days prior to application, be sure to generously apply body moisturiser twice a day. Pay close attention to any areas that appear to be particularly dry as this will help ensure smooth, streak-free application. Once application day arrives, make sure your skin is clean, exfoliated, and free from any moisturisers and fragrances. We highly recommend using the Bondi Sands Exfoliation Mitt, also available for purchase on our site. To prevent the tan from clinging to dry and naturally darker areas, we recommend applying a very light layer of moisturiser to the elbows, knees and feet. This will promote even application.

Step 2

Pump the foam directly onto your Bondi Sands Application Mitt for streak-free tanning application (if you don’t yet own the mitt, you can purchase it here on our website). Use the mitt to smooth the foam over the legs, arms and body, in long sweeping motions. If you find yourself struggling to reach certain areas, use the Bondi Sands self-tanning back applicator for extra help.

Step 3

Whilst Bondi Sands self-tanning products are transfer-resistant and have generally received outstanding reviews for their quick-drying nature, we recommend you wear dark, loose clothing until your tan has fully developed. Please allow at least 15 minutes after application before getting dressed. Allow the tan to develop for at least one hour before washing it off with warm water. For a long-lasting, darker tan, leave the product for at least 6 hours before washing off. If you would like a deeper tan, repeat step 2, 30 minutes after the first application.

Everyday Gradual Tanning Milk

Aiming to hydrate and nourish the skin with every application, this innovative dual-action tanning formula delivers an immediate bronze tint that gradually intensifies, leaving the body with a deep long-lasting tan. Packed with skin-loving ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter, this Bondi Sands tan is perfect for everyday use as its milky consistency allows it to absorb into the skin quickly and seamlessly. The Bondi Sands’ Gradual Tanning Milks can be also be applied in addition to any of the brand’s self-tanning products to give your tan that little top up it craves.

Step 1

Use the Bondi Sands Exfoliation Mitt to exfoliate your skin, ensuring it is clean and completely free from any moisturisers and/or fragrances.

Step 2

Apply the tanning milk directly onto the skin and buff it in using repetitive circular motions. Use the Bondi Sands back applicator to target those hard-to-reach areas. Be careful not to apply too much product to naturally dry areas as they are more likely to absorb the tab, creating an uneven finish.

Step 3

Wait at least 15 minutes for the skin to dry, before getting dressed. Apply the tanning milk daily as a moisturiser to maintain a healthy, hydrated glow. Expect a gradual tan to develop between 1-3 applications.

Aero Self-Tanning Foam

Step 1

Use the Bondi Sands Exfoliation Mitt to exfoliate your skin. Ensure it is clean and completely free from any moisturisers and perfumes.

Step 2

Pump the foam directly onto the Bondi Sands Application Kit and use long sweeping motions to blend the product along the legs, arms, and all over your body. Apply a very thin layer over your face, elbows, knees and feet. Apply a gentle layer to naturally darker areas including the knees, elbows, and feet.

Step 3

Allow the product to dry before getting dressed. Then allow the product to fully develop between 6-8 hours. Once the tan has developed, wash the product off with warm water. If you are not completely satisfied with the intensity of your tan, repeat step 2 at least 30 minutes after application. This will ensure a rich and deep natural bronzed-babe look.

Step 1

Prepare your skin by ensuring it is clean and exfoliated using the Bondi Sands Exfoliation Mit. Make sure the skin is completely dry and free from any moisturiser and fragrances.

Step 2

Pump the breezy foam directly onto the skin and buff it in using constant circular motions.

Step 3

Allow at least 15 minutes for the product to dry before dressing. For a richer glow, repeat step 2, 30 minutes after the first application. Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly after use to prevent staining.

How long will my Bondi Sands tan last for?

Everyone’s skin naturally exfoliated at a different rate. However, with the right preparation and moisturising, Bondi Sands tan can last for 7 days. To prolong your tan, you can apply Bondi Sands gradual tanning products.

What is the difference between the Bondi Sand self-tan & gradual tan?

The Bondi Sands gradual tanning products are formulated to create an instant glow, gradually intensifying in colour over time. The self-tan on the other hand dries instantly, delivering a deep yet natural long-lasting tan.

Is the Bondi Sands Application Mitt worth it?

Yes, crafted from an ultra-soft fabric, the award-winning product perfectly blends Bondi Sands tanning products into your skin, allowing for seamless, streak-free distribution. It also protects the tan from absorbing into (and potentially staining) your hands. The mitt can be used with all your favourite Bondi Sands products and is easy to clean. To do so, simply rinse the mitt with warm water.

Which Bondi Sands shade should I choose?

If you are unsure which shade to go with, we recommend starting with light/medium. If the desired colour is not achieved with the initial application, you can apply it again. The ultra-dark is more suited to those with olive skin tones and darker complexions. To prolong and top up your tan, Bondi Sands gradual tanning products can be applied in addition to either shade.

Can I use Bondi Sands tanning products on my face?

All our Bondi Sands tanning products are safe to use on the face. However, it is best practice to first carry out a skin patch test before use.

Can I use Bondi Sands products whilst pregnant?

Bondi Sands self-tanning products are generally safe to use during pregnancy as DHA only affects the top layer of the skin. However, if unsure, please check with your doctor. Note that if you are breastfeeding, Bondi Sands tan products cannot be applied to the breast area.

Can I go swimming after applying Bondi Sands?

Bondi Sands self-tanning products need at least 6-8 hours to fully develop, and swimming should, therefore, be avoided during this time. Please note that seawater and pools containing chlorine may cause your tan to streak and/or fade more quickly. It is, therefore, advisable that swimming is avoided entirely where possible.
